Camp Living Springs

Camp Living Springs is a weekend adult cancer retreat offered at no cost to participants. The camp provides adult cancer survivors with an opportunity to get away from their day-to-day obligations and share experiences with other cancer survivors. Camp Living Springs' mission is to promote camaraderie, relaxation and shared experiences while nurturing the spirit of those touched by cancer.

This year's camp is October 16-18, 2020.

Who sponsors the camp?

Camp Living Springs is presented by Morton Plant Mease Volunteer Resources in partnership with the YMCA of the Suncoast. Funding is provided by a grant from Morton Plant Mease Foundation.

Who can attend camp?

To be eligible, campers must be age 18 or older and been diagnosed with cancer. Participants must also be ambulatory.

Who are the counselors?

Camp counselors include members of Morton Plant Mease Volunteer Resources and professional staff from Morton Plant Mease and YMCA of the Suncoast.

What is the campsite like?

The camp is spread out over 100 acres of beautiful, rustic, wooded property. Counselors and campers stay in modern, temperature-controlled facilities.

Where is the camp located?

The camp is located at the Day Spring Conference Center in Ellenton, FL. It is off I-75 on Highway 301, just two miles east of Prime Outlets in Ellenton.

How do I get there?

Roundtrip transportation is provided from Powell Pavilion at Morton Plant Hospital.
