Mease Countryside and Mease Dunedin Hospitals Named Best Hospital Workplaces by FHA

October 31, 2016
CLEARWATER, Fla., (October 31, 2016) -- Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital were named the Best Hospital Workplaces at the Florida Hospital Association’s (FHA) Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Award, marking the first time a health system has had two hospitals win both awards.

Mease Countryside received the Best Hospital Workplace award for hospitals with more than 150 beds, while Mease Dunedin received it for hospitals with less than 150 beds.

In recognizing the hospitals, FHA noted their numerous programs to support team members including team incentives, tuition and scholarship programs, clinical and career development, internships and annual team member excellence awards.

“We are honored to be recognized as the Best Hospital Workplace,” said Lou Galdieri, president, Mease Countryside and Mease Dunedin hospitals. “We as leadership have developed the programs and initiatives, but this award really pays tribute to our amazing team members who have internalized our values and embraced a quality way of work throughout our hospitals.”

FHA’s Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards pays tribute to hospitals and individuals in the areas of innovative care, strong workplaces and community contributions.  Mease Countryside and Mease Dunedin were two of the 11 caregivers or hospitals that were recognized. They are a part of the BayCare Health System, which Forbes has ranked as one of “America’s Best Employers” for two consecutive years.
