October 01, 2015

CLEARWATER, Fla., (October 1, 2015) - Morton Plant Mease’s Pregnancy Loss Program will sponsor the 23rd annual Walk to Remember Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. at the Powell Pavilion. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The walk is a part of National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month established in 1988 to recognize the loss suffered by parents whose babies die in utero or shortly after birth.

Walkers will meet at the Powell Pavilion, 303 Pinellas Street, Clearwater, and proceed over to Morton Plant Hospital’s waterfront to release butterflies.

Parents, family members and friends are welcome and invited to participate in a celebration of hope and friendship by reading poems or statements to share their story.

Following the celebration, light refreshments will be served at the Powell Pavilion.

Walk to Remember is free to the community. It is sponsored through a grant from the Morton Plant Mease Foundation through the Peter Lloyd Perinatal Loss program.
