A new hospital opens Monday bringing emergency and specialty medical care closer to home for hundreds of thousands of people in the South Shore area of Hillsborough County. St. Joseph's Hospital South will offer 22 medical services including emergency, orthopedic, and maternity.The 352,000 square foot facility has 90 private patients rooms and 22 observation rooms.The hospital is located on Big Bend Road, just off Interstate-75 in Riverview.
