South Florida Baptist Hospital Cancer Resource Center Holds Open House

PLANT CITY, Fla.  – Oct. 7, 2014 – South Florida Baptist Hospital invites the general public to an Open House at its Cancer Resource Center Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Health screenings (blood pressure, BMI and glucose) will be offered, and visitors may enjoy light refreshments.

The Cancer Resource Center works to improve cancer patients’ quality of life in several ways:

• By providing information about free programs and services;
• By providing gift items, such as wigs, hats, turbans, scarves, bras and breast prostheses;
• By assisting cancer patients with making informed decisions about their diagnosis and helping them cope with some of the side effects of cancer;
• By providing a large meeting room for groups and a family-style room for small groups.
