What are Patient Satisfaction Ratings?

Choosing the right provider can be challenging. That is why we provide online access to our patient satisfaction scores with easy to compare star ratings. These ratings are based on responses from surveys gathered by an independent surveyor, Press Ganey. We encourage our patients to participate in our continued efforts to improve the quality of care we provide by responding to our patient experience surveys. This survey is distributed to patients of BayCare Medical Group in the days following their appointment.

The data from our patient experience surveys are formulated into a Provider Star Rating, on a scale from 1 to 5, and can be found for each individual provider on our website. The Provider Star Rating is an average score based on the responses to our CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Provider and Systems) Survey.

Reviews listed on BayCare.org are aggregated from our patient experience surveys. While we are committed to posting positive and negative feedback, we will not post comments that are libelous, slanderous, profane, risk the privacy of our patients, or do not mention direct care received from the provider. Comments are reviewed prior to posting to our website, and patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy. There may be a few reasons as to why your comment or rating is not published on a provider’s profile.

  • The provider may not be a BayCare Medical Group provider, but rather one of our trusted private practice providers, BayCare Physician Partners (BPP).
  • The provider may not have 30 returned patient experience surveys. We do not publish star ratings for providers without 30 returned surveys to ensure that the reviews are well-balanced.
