    • Dr. Winay Virkud is a hospitalist with Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. He provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. He will be responsible for you and your loved one’s care while in our hospital and will partner with your primary care physician on any necessary follow-up care to assist with your continued care, once you return to your home. Dr. Virkud is board certified in internal medicine. He received an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Virkud then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. He completed an internal medicine residency at Rocky Vista University/Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado.
