    I feel very well taken care of. I had an issue with my platelets dropping really low - low enough that I needed a transfusion that night. Dr Gadiyaram called me after office hours to let me know. Shes been on top of my bloodwork to make sure that my counts dont get into dangerous levels again. She and I have chatted a few times about things outside of cancer - making me feel like shes interested in me as a person, not just a patient.

    • Dr. Vijaya Gadiyaram is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, with broad interests in blood disorders, cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from NTR University of Health Sciences in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. She then completed an internal medicine residency and internship at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Gadiyaram furthered her medical education by completing a medical oncology fellowship at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. She has co-authored numerous presentations and publications. Dr. Gadiyaram is very active in clinical trials. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
