- Dr. Trisha Larkin is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology, specializing in neuro-oncology. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in biology and economics. She earned her medical degree from Florida International University College of Medicine, followed by a Master of Business Administration. Dr. Larkin completed pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She went on to complete an advanced fellowship in pediatric neuro-oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. While at St. Jude, she worked on a team of world-renowned physicians to care for children diagnosed with complex brain and spinal tumors. Dr. Larkin is passionate about discovering innovative strategies to improve the care of children with brain tumors. Her research interests include early-phase clinical trials and drug development. She was invited to present her research at numerous academic meetings including the International Society of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology conference in Karuizawa, Japan. Dr. Larkin has authored several peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals such as Pediatric Blood and Cancer and Neuro-Oncology. She serves as associate editor for Neuro-Oncology on the MedNet, an interactive platform for physicians around the world to gather insight about treating complex oncologic diagnoses. She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Society for Neuro-Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group, Society for Pediatric Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
