This was my first visit with Dr Van Pelt as my family physician. My previous physician retired. Dr Van Pelt was personable, professional, and thorough. I look forward to a wonderful relationship with her.

Good overall experience

I came in for a consult as a transfer patient from another BayCare provider based on a reference from friends, Dr Van Pelt is probably the most amazing Dr Ive seen in my lifetime as far as prepared, listened, spent nearly an hour on my consult. I see her again in 3 weeks. I have finally found a great match for my care!!!

With every visit, My Experience has been wonderful. Dr. Van Pelt is the best Physician Ive ever had. Top notch.

Dr Van Pelt is usually great. This last time I felt rushed and my concerns seemed downplayed. Maybe that was her way of trying to make me feel like itll be ok, but it came across negatively.

The doctor listened and took all information needed.

Best primary care doctor I have ever had an appointment with. I am so glad to have found her, she really listened to my entire medical history and offered insight and options that other primary care doctors and not even my own specialist suggested. Cant thank her enough for all of her help.

I have never had a doctor go over my blood work in detail before. Even though all were good except my cholesterol. She went over each reading and explained everything. I appreciate the time and care that she showed.

Dismissive of my questions regarding the potential use of prescription or OTC medication for debilitating migraines when pregnant, though I am not currently pregnant. Also offered basically no insight into the potential reasons behind elevated cholesterol despite significant weight loss, and asked no questions about my daily habits such as diet to help me understand what could be done to improve the numbers. Seems like her first response to any medical concern is just to offer a prescription, not really asking any questions to understand what could be causing the issue, and if the prescription doesnt work on the first try then just offer a referral to a specialist. I understand this is the way primary care works but she doesnt strike me as overly helpful in trying to determine root cause when asked about concerns.

I liked her very much. She took her time and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and any health concerns.

Dr. Van Pelt did an excellent job.

Dr. Van Pelt clearly did not review my medical records thoroughly prior to my appointment. Her notes are also inaccurate from this visit as she did not examine anything with the exception of a quick listen to my lungs. Said that having a persistent cough for 2 months or more is common after Covid which I didnt have. Then said it was common after upper respiratory infection. She was dismissive and came off as condescending towards me when I had questions. Her recommendations were not helpful in decreasing symptoms. Not a good experience with her and will not want to work with her in the future.

Dr. Van Pelt is very empathetic, quickly schedules lab work and calls with the results.

Dr Van Pelt has a soothing bedside manner and seeks to listen. I just feel she could have asked more specific questions regarding my symptoms. While she took time to listen, my actual physical exam could have been more thorough. Also I wish the doctors would follow up on X-rays, bloodwork etc with a call.

This was my first experience with Dr Van Pelt after my previous PRP left for a concierge practice. Dr VP was friendly and thorough about understanding my health history. It was a very positive first experience.

Dr. Van Pelts mature clinical insight and decision making caught me complete off guard. Her chair side manner is that of a practitioner with 25 years In the saddle.

Dr. Van Pelt was excellent. She explained my condition, put me at ease on the low frequency of reoccurrence, and prescribed effective medicine.

The provider kept saying she doesnt have time to answer my questions. She was handling more than one patient.

Well I was supposed to have my prescriptions to be renewed and I am still waiting for some of them to be approved by my pharmacist

I felt my concerns were invalidated and responded to in appeasement. She said I wouldnt do it if you were my family but if you want it Ill order it.

Easy rapport

Doctor told my mom what the labs showed but didnt go over the labs like previous ANP ordered a round of antibiotics for a test that showed a slight bladder infection but didnt go over the labs to show mom the results of the urine test. Previous ANP would of went over labs with mom

First time to meet her and really glad she is my new provider. Professional and caring.

Tisha talked to me, in a way that made me feel heard. I felt like she cared about my health, and when she recommended treatments, I felt more inclined to accept them.

Dr. Tisha Van Pelt is not my primary care provider. She did not introduce herself or ask questions about my health or background before jumping into my current problem. She did not listen to my concerns with much care or make me feel comfortable or heard throughout the appointment. Her responses felt condescending and did not ease my concerns.

This provider wont refill some of my medications because she doesnt believe in them. Referred me to a pain management specialist. I already did that and more and all was good with my previous provider. My expectation for a replacement from my previous provider would have been to get one that has similar practice methods. I came, I tried, I left disappointed.

Patient and understanding

I could not believe how cold and indifferent the provider was at our visit. I needed my sleep medication. I had been out for 2 weeks and havent been sleeping. I am a nurse and work 12-13 hr. Days. So sleep is very important to me. I need to be sharp at work. When I called for a prescription for my sleep medication I was told my provider was out on leave and wouldnt be back for 2 more months. Therefore I would need to see a different provider. I said that was fine, I just would like an appt. ASAP so I could get my sleep medication. They were not able to get me in for an appt. For another week. When I saw the provider, I could not believe how uncaring she was as a physician. She was very young and quite honestly probably doesnt have sleep issues yet. I am sorry to be so blunt, but it was so discouraging that this is where our health system is at this time. I work in the hospital and try to provide excellent health care to my patients. The doctor did not seem to care at all about me as a person; she seemed like she was annoyed I was there.

The doctor was attentive and helpful, except for ordering a prescription and telling me not to take it.

I was positive Covid , I had severe back injury, my mouth was burning, I had severe laryngitis and I was short of breath. The doctor listened to my lungs and got out of the room as quickly as possible she never looked in my mouth, she never examined my back she left the room quickly and returned with 5 referrals. 1 to an orthopedic surgeon and 1 to neurology surgeon and said let them figure out what to do with your back, she offered me new inhalers and I refused them since I had gotten thrush from them before. The following day I went to a walk in clinic and they gave me antibiotics for extreme swelling in my tonsils and the gave me nystatin for the thrush I did have, she never explained to me the laryngitis that was caused by Covid. She was abrupt and rushed she spent approximately 5 minutes with me
