Dr. Fields needs to interact more

I inquired about having a thermogram instead of a mammogram & she did not know what a thermogram was & did not know where in Tampa I could get one. I told her I would do the research & find out.

I am not sure what pcps actually do. I assumed they are responsible for coordinating medical care with my other doctors. But apparently not.

My experience with this care provider was very good.

Dr Fields was very non chalant about the symptoms that I was experiencing, I explained how I have generalized pain in my lower extremity and tingling and severe lower back pain. Instead of opting out to do Caine imaging and blood work she decided to consider me for PT. You would think if thats not a persons baseline with those type of symptoms you would do a little more. Make the long story short. I will not be returning to her. I want my DR to be involved and little more into my concerns and actually take validation into what Im saying. Wont be back.

Dr Fields is a fine physician. My providers in the past have been much more easy to communicate with. She is very quiet and thoughtful, but her quiet communication does work for me. I dont feel any warmth and caring from her - just that she is doing her job. I will be needing to find a new PCP for the new year.

I went for back pain (luckily it was just a pulled muscle) and I felt like that the provider thought I was just drug seeking

Late, dismissive, showed no empathy, stared at the computer in silence for long periods of time, offered very little help, did not ask if I had questions, was still typing on computer as she walked out of the room

Not very good would like to change my provider

As of August 18th I have not received my CBC results from my visit with her on August 10th. Obviously, there is lack of communication or a no care attitude with that group.

Provider lacked bedside manner. There was minimal discussion and she focused on her documentation more than acknowledging there was a human sitting in front of her. I expressed an issue of pain in my shoulder to my wrist, it was not addressed at all, merely documented.

I felt that Dr. Fields did not examine me and assist with the problems I was experiencing. When I informed the doctor that I was experiencing higher anxiety than normal I was told well of course with everything you have going on that would be why. I take medicine for anxiety and there was no conversation about changing or upping my dosage.

I have not needed to see my provider often, mostly for annual exams. However, I have one issue that bothers me. When I ask questions, the provider often says, I dont know. This effectively shuts down any further questions. I am unsure if the provider really doesnt know, or is unsure and doesnt want to give me incorrect info., or if the provider wants me out the door. It is beginning to feel like the latter as this has occurred for the years I have been seeing the provider. I recently made a switch to another provider within BayCare. I dont expect a Dr. To know answer to all questions, but usually they can give you general info based on their broader range of experience, reading of journals, and attendance at conferences. For example, I asked what tests a cardiologist might need to do. The provider said, I dont know. Again, this felt like the provider wanted me gone. So Im leaving!

This was a doctor I had not seen before. She was very helpful and compassionate, as well.

Overall not my best experience with a doctor. She seemed a little annoyed when asked a question, and her responses didnt always answer the question. At the end, she said sit tight for a second and then the nurse came in to lead me back to the front. The doctor didnt even announce that she was finished or say goodbye. Just a little strange. Also she was not personable and pretty cold overall.

I feel that I got uncomfortable sharing my health concerns and like my description of what I was feeling was not really taken seriously. I feel there could have been better way to show being more caring I would not have made the appointment if I was not concerned about possibility of having developed an ear infection or if my sinus issues got worse. Its my first year experiencing allergies and sinus infections for me have become more frequent the last 3 years and I want my provider to help me feel confident and I did not feel that.

She spent a considerable amount of time with me, more than I had experienced with my first visit with her.

Felt like she didnt know what to tell me.

I felt like she did not allow me to speak about my symptoms and often cut me off when I was. She never looked up from her computer. At one point she did stuff on her computer for almost a few minutes without even saying anything to me. She had me give a urine sample but never explained what she was checking for until after the results. She never told me what she thought I had until the very end. After my imaging, she suggested I wait and see if my pain got any better rather than addressing my symptoms. I felt like she did not at all care about the pain I was in. She only ordered an antibiotic for me after I request one.

Doctor wrote script for x-rays, which was the reason for the visit.

Dr. Fields is a great doctor is great to have as my doctor.

When asking questions I was met with judgement. It seemed as if I should have Googled my answers and came ready to ask for my own solutions versus looking for a professional opinion or solution.
