Silpa Benny, DO

Dr. Silpa Benny specializes in family medicine and serves with BayCare Medical Group in the Oldsmar, Florida community, where she sees patients aged 15 and older. She completed an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Swannee, Georgia. Dr. Benny continued her medical education by completing a family medicine residency at HCA Florida-St. Petersburg Hospital/USF Morsani College of Medicine.

Dr. Benny enjoys helping patients understand how to improve their health and well-being. Her satisfaction comes from meeting patients from diverse backgrounds and learning about their lives and challenges. She will work with her patients to help them understand how their body, mind and spirit are all connected and prescribe the best treatment plans to address health concerns.

Dr. Benny is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Medical Association. She speaks Malayalam.
