Dr. Scott Schumacher is board certified in family medicine and is part of BayCare Medical Group in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, followed by a family medicine residency at Mohawk Valley Health System/Wynn Hospital in Utica, New York, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Schumaker’s clinical interests include arthritis management, asthma, COPD, diabetes and hypertension. He prioritizes building trusting relationships and provides personalized medical management tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Dr. Schumacher is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
