When I told the doctor I had major reservations about the next medication she was planned on me starting she seemed to not understand or care about my WHY I had concerns, after that discussion she examined me but I felt she did it quickly so as to be able to exit the room as soon as possible. This was the first time in my 2 years seeing this doctor that I felt unseen or heard.

Dr. Hopman was very engaged with me and my husband regarding my recent diagnosis of breast cancer, treated us with dignity and respect, and thoroughly explained the plan of care. She also facilitated a return visit with the surgeon whom I had just seen and provided him with my feedback as a result of my consultation with him. She understood and respected our level of knowledge regarding my diagnosis, and displayed empathy, instilled me with confidence regarding my breast cancer care team, and thoroughly explained the plan of care.
