Roxana Wherley is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and is with BayCare Medical Group in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, and received a Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Roxana helps patients better understand and manage their heart health. She’s focused on cardiovascular care, including structural cardiology, heart failure and the care of patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Roxana spent several years caring for critically ill patients, including those in the cardiovascular intensive care unit and recovering from cardiac surgery. She’s fluent in Spanish.
