Dr. Ronica Nanda is board certified in radiation oncology and is with BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, Florida, where she sees pediatric patients and adults of all ages. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, completed an internal medicine internship and radiation oncology residency at Emory University, School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and a pediatric/adult proton therapy fellowship at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Nanda has extensive experience using cutting-edge technology in the treatment of breast, central nervous system, lung and prostate cancers, as well as pediatric cancers. Her primary research interests are the late effects of radiation therapy and quality-of-life concerns associated with cancer treatment, and she’s the principal investigator on several trials. An accomplished author, Dr. Nanda has presented and published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Surgical Oncology, the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics and the Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Cancer. She’s a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Women Radiologists. Dr. Nanda serves on the board of directors and executive board of the National Alliance for Clinical Trials. She’s affiliated with BayCare Morton Plant Hospital.
