Doctor Bio
Dr. Richard Hanley is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine and serves the Dunedin, Florida area for BayCare Medical Group where he sees patients 18 years and older. He received his undergraduate degree in human biology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Hanley earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados in the West Indies. He continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Brighton, Michigan, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Ascension Providence Hospital in Novi, Michigan.
Dr. Hanley is dedicated and passionate about providing primary care to meet the diverse health needs of his patients and their families. He takes his time to understand symptoms and give correct diagnoses to ensure the continued health of all his patients. He takes an individual approach to patient care and is especially interested in health prevention, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, and treating sports related injuries. Dr. Hanley is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
