Dr. Rachael Jean-Claude specializes in family medicine and is part of BayCare Medical Group serving the Tampa, Florida area where she sees patients age 18 and older. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. Dr. Jean-Claude earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. She continued her medical education by completing her residency in family medicine at the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Residency Program in Clearwater, Florida.
During her training, she was recognized for her distinguished work in women’s health by receiving the First Year Resident Obstetrics Award. In addition, she received the Resident Award for Scholarship for her outstanding research on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Dr. Jean-Claude enjoys providing comprehensive care of acute and chronic diseases; however, she has particular interest in women’s health, patient wellness and underserved populations. It is her desire to improve access to care and provided high quality health education to all patients. She is certified in basic life support, advanced wilderness life support and advanced cardiovascular life support and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
