I was in her office only about 10 minutes and all she talk about was an operation. Did not ask me what may have caused my digestive issues or any solution. Told me to eat high fiber diet, but did not give me a list of things to eat. I guess a surgeon only wants to operate. She did not discuss the risk of the operation.

Dr Thomas knew before seeing me that she was going to deny treating me and was going to advise that I see a specialist. If that was the case then this Appointment and the weeks that I waited to go to the appointment after scheduling it were all wasted because she knew that she was not going to treat me at all. Not only did I lose valuable time in getting my condition taken care of by the proper doctors, but going to this appointment, and the weeks that I waited to go to the appointment after scheduling it were all wasted because she knew that she was not going to treat me at all. Not only did I lose valuable time in getting my condition taken care of by the proper doctors, but I was also charged $60 for the doctor to literally just say that she wasnt going to treat me and I needed to see a different doctor. Then she wrote out a referral for a specialist that wasnt in my insurance network. That seems like an easily solvable problem by just changing the referral, however, it took almost 2 weeks as well as multiple phone calls and me contacting the office through the Bay care patient portal trying to get them to correct the referral so that I could schedule with a sarcoma specialist. All in all I lost five weeks worth of Time dealing with this office when Dr. Thomas could have easily contacted me after reviewing my files and informed me that she was not going to treat me and told me where I needed to go. That shouldnt have cost me $60 and five weeks of my time especially when the determination is that I need to see a sarcoma specialist. I ended up having to come and physically get the referral myself, and then after being told twice by your office that it had been faxed over to the proper doctor, it never was. I had to email it myself and only after I emailed it myself and then called the Harborside office back did they fax it over, but they didnt fax over any of the notes that go along with it so I had to go through the patient portal and retrieve all of the actual documentation and provide those as well. So even if the co-pay that I was charged for coming in there was purely for paperwork, I ended up doing all of the paperwork myself so really I should have been paid for being a receptionist and medical assistant because I did all their work. This entire office and how it was run and how I was treated as a patient is disgraceful, and I am transferring all of my healthcare out of the baycare network due to this experience.
