Doctor Bio
Dr. Olga Kristof is board-certified in cardiology, internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular imaging interpretation, and part of BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Kharkiv National Medical School in Kharviv, Ukraine. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Columbia University St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Medical Center in New York, New York, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Kristof brings extensive experience in cardiology, working as an assistant professor in the University of South Florida cardiology department and as part of the structural heart disease (TAVR) team. She was co-initiator of the Women Heart Health program at USF.
Dr. Kristof’s special interests include providing personalized care for patients with all types of cardiovascular diseases, heart failure, hypertension, and cholesterol management, while taking care of cancer-related cardiac issues (cardio-oncology). She is passionate about helping women with heart health issues, including peri-partum management. She enjoys spending time with her patients, to advocate for them, and to work alongside her colleagues to ensure the patient will receive the best care possible. She is a proponent of patient education and personalized medicine and aims to spend as much time as needed with her patients to ensure their comprehensive care. Dr. Kristof served as a principal investigator on a RELAX-AHF II trial and as a co-investigator on many other clinical trials. She has presented her research at national meetings and published in cardiology peer-reviewed journals. She is affiliated with Morton Plant Hospital.
