    • Michael Small, MD is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biology, cum laude, from the University of Miami, and his Doctor of Medicine, with honors, from the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He continued at USF, completing an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Small has a superior academic record, having received several academic awards and recognitions, including election to Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious medical honor society. His clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, and disorders of the biliary tract, pancreas, and esophagus. He is proficient in upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP. Dr. Small is a member American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
