Dr. Michael Ignell specializes in family medicine and is affliated with BayCare Medical Group, serving the Clearwater, Florida and surrounding communities. He received his undergraduate degree in health science from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Ignell earned his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten, Dutch West Indies. He continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency at AdventHealth Family Medicine in Winter Park, Florida.
Dr. Ignell specializes in women’s health, acute illness, behavior and mental health, development and growth evaluations and preventive medicine, using the latest in diagnostic techniques. He helps manage chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, asthma, depression and anxiety. Dr. Ignell is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Florida Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
