Doctor Bio
Dr. Michael Allison is board certified in family medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Allison earned his Doctor of Medicine from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by a family medicine residency at the University of South Florida/Morton Plant Mease in Tampa. He continued his medical education with fellowships in family medicine faculty development from Cook County Health Department of Family Medicine and Maternal Child Health from PCC Community Wellness Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Allison is part of the faculty of the University of South Florida/Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program in Clearwater, Florida. He has been a regular lecturer in academic settings on topics that have previously included medical complications in pregnancy, the socio-behavioral aspects of women’s health in poverty-challenged areas, primary care psychiatry and evidence-based medicine.
