Dr. Maria Skopis is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine and is with BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, where she also served as chief resident, and completed a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital/Miami VA Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Skopis provides comprehensive care and specializes in autoimmune and arthritic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis. She works with her patients to create personalized treatment plans that support their goals toward well-being. Dr. Skopis is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Women’s Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Rheumatology and the Association of Women in Rheumatology. She’s affiliated with Morton Plant Hospital. Dr. Skopis is fluent in Greek.
