    Dr. Simonds never-failing patience with answering questions, again reminding me of the significance of the dry eye regimen which I was not following as closely as I should. She pleasantly gave me suggestions on how to be more compliant with the regimen.

    • Dr. Lorraine Simonds is a board-certified ophthalmologist, who currently practices at BayCare Medical Group Gessler Clinic in Winter Haven, Florida. She completed an undergraduate degree in chemistry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Simonds then went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Simonds provides a range of services including cataract surgery, healthy eye exams, and the management of complex eye diseases. Her clinical interests include dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Dr. Simonds is also fluent in Spanish. Dr. Simonds is a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association, and she is affiliated with Winter Haven Hospital.
