My provider doesnt have my health insurance his best interest. I feelThst he is not present when im speaking to him. I had to tell him twice about my birth control. I feel like I need to advocate for my own health. For example, he didnt suggest that I get a skin check. I had to ask for a referral. He also suggested the cologuard but didnt tell me that it doesnt detect polyps.

Doctor seemed to examine everything and ask pertinent questions. He then ordered an X-ray to see if there were any breaks or fractures. As we did not have those results yet, I was left wondering how to treat the probable soft tissue damage. I was told 6 to 8 weeks to recover. Perhaps PT and a shot at some point. Not very clear on what I should or should not be doing to heal. I assumed I was to do something between absolutely nothing to light lifting and work.

I feel like my concerns be be better taken into consideration instead of brushed off as Nothing, because I would like to know for a fact that what I have isnt more serious because I dont experience pain and anxiety from my issues. Im not a doctor so maybe if it was suggested to have blood work or something done to help put me at ease that its nothing or offer to have the lumps removed that cause me pain.

He too, knows me well and knows whats recent on my chart and listen to what I tell him. I couldnt ask for a better general practice provider.

I discussed two symptoms I was having, stomach issues and a constant need to sleep. He diagnosed the stomach issue as a gastric issue and prescribed medication, but had no answer to they need for constant sleep.

Dr Hernandez was excellent - very conversational, I felt as though he was not rushed and was giving me his total attention. Mine was a transfer of care visit and he was thorough in reviewing my medical records and asking clarifying questions. He seems to have set the pace of his office as the entire team seemed to have a very welcoming, non-chaotic, environment from check in to check out.

Dr Hernandez excellent in creating a comfortable environment that was not rushed, had complete medical record in front of him as he asked clarifying questions, answered thoroughly- and was totally present In the moment.

I was hoping for a more in depth examination for my yearly check up. Lungs and pulse were checked, but no exam into nose, ears, and more private areas that Im used to being checked out for a yearly exam. I thought it should be more thorough.

My Doctor is best doctor ever, will recommend him everyone

I feel that my doctor did not give me a thorough hands on annual exam. I feel there is an over reliance on the blood work negating a good physical exam. Didnt check my eyes,ears or throat. Annual physicals use to take some time to complete. This was quick.

We appreciate Dr Hernandez and will keep him as our primary Dr until he retires. He is a wonderful physician.

I came in for my annual visit. I had taken it upon myself to invest $1000 to have specific testing done to evaluate my health and potential risks. I attempted to share this with the doctor but quite frankly he didnt seem interested. He was actually quite flippant about it. My expectation of a family doctor who is giving me an annual exam to make sure that Im on the right track for my health perspective that he would be engaged, inquisitive and wanting to review the testing that I had done to see if there was anything that he thought would be suspicious. What I got was someone who listened to my heart listened to my lungs asked me if I go to the dentist and if anything changed. I shared with him the bloodwork that I had done showed that my cholesterol was high, but triglycerides were good and that I wanted to discuss how to improve without going on medication his response dont eat animal products and dairy That is literally the whole annual visit that he provided. I have called the office now multiple times asking to have a different doctor specifically Dr. Nelson and Ive been told I can transfer, but I wont be able to see her for another six months because I would be a new patient. So the bloodwork that I had done will be useless.

He is conservative and proactive at the same time. He listens.

Prior to my appointment with Dr Hernandez on Feb 19, 2024 I was sent an email to chick in early. Part of the check in process was a yearly health assessment. I completed the assessment as instructed. I met Dr Hernandez for the appointment. He came into the room handed me a copy of my blood work and said he had not had time to review it. He reviewed it on his computer and said that everything looked good. I mentioned that I was still having issues with my chest. He gave me a referral. I then mentioned one of the topics on the survey I had taken. Depression- That I was have some depression. He offered a few suggestions and I replied I think I can handle it at this point. He then mentions I was due a pneumonia shot and did I want to get it. I answered yes. He left to set up the shot. The nurse came in and gave me the shot. AS she left, she said the doctor will be back in a minute. She then returned and said I was done and could leave. I went to the front desk and picked my referral, next appointment sheet and future blood work form. The reason Im upset with this appointment is the following:Dr Hernandez did not mention or discuss the Yearly Health survey I was requested to complete.When he left to set up the shot, I thought he was coming back in to complete the appointment. But never did. His review of my blood was everything looks good.Reviewing the blook work sheet after I got home, I found the following:RBC low 3.53HGB low 11.5HGT low 33.2Microalbumin Random high 6.9MA/Creat Ratio high 46I believe the five areas listed above should have been discussed and let me know what I could do to correct the situations if need be. All the above along with the shot period of time he spent with me was disappointing.

One of the best thing he does is provide blood test requests (referrals) that cant be filled until just before my next visit. It works great that I have all my blood work done before the visit and he ALWAYS reviews the blood work and discusses the affects the medications are having. I really feel well informed and well cared for by his process.
