Dr. Laurel Woods is board certified in family medicine and is with BayCare Medical Group in Seminole, Florida, where she sees patients newborn and older. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California at Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California, completed her family medicine residency at Group Health Cooperative (now Kaiser Permanente) in Seattle, Washington, and completed a faculty development fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. As a dedicated physician, educator and researcher, Dr. Woods is committed to continuous learning and community service. With diverse training in family medicine, communication and faculty development, she’s cultivated a versatile skill set to address her patients’ needs.
Dr. Woods recognizes the impact of daily lifestyle activities and social factors on patients’ health outcomes. She’s passionate about holistic wellness and emphasizes preventive health measures and the interconnectedness of human health with the environment. Dr. Woods provides comprehensive preventive care such as well child visits and annual physical exams and vaccinations, diagnoses and treats acute illnesses and provides care plans for acute and chronic diseases.
