Laura Talakkottur is an advanced practice registered nurse and is with BayCare Medical Group in Tampa, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in family practice nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Laura has been a dedicated health care professional for more than 20 years and, since 2009, she has been an adult primary care provider. She assesses, diagnoses and treats common medical problems, and partner with her patients to help them improve their health and overall quality of life. Laura reviews lifestyle modifications pertaining to diet, exercise, sleep, stress modification and smoking cessation. She teaches her patients the importance of preventive screenings, medication adherence and self-management of chronic disease to prevent complications and improve their overall quality of life.
