Dr. Larry Ertel is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and clinical informatics. He serves the St. Petersburg, Florida area where he sees patients age 12 and older for BayCare Medical Group. He received an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Kentucky and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Ertel continued his medical education by completing an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Indiana University School of Medicine/Methodist campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Ertel has been practicing medicine and treating children and adults, since 1996. He provides care for colds, flu and upper respiratory infections, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol, ear, throat and sinus infections. He performs annual exams as part of his preventive health care practice. Dr. Ertel is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and certified in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation.
