Dr. Kirby Walker is a board-certified surgical oncologist and general surgeon and is with BayCare Medical Group in Bartow, Florida. She sees patients age 18 and older. Dr. Walker earned a Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in the Netherlands Antilles, and completed a general surgery residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in McAllen, Texas. She completed a fellowship at Boston University Complete General Surgery Oncology Fellowship in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Walker has clinical interests in the management of melanoma, endocrine tumors, breast disease, as well as diagnostic and palliative surgical interventions of other malignancies aimed at improving quality of life for patients with advanced disease. She provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals facing complex surgical conditions, with expertise in cancer surgery. Dr. Walker uses advanced surgical techniques and works with a team of specialists to create care plans tailored to each patient. In addition to cancer care, she treats a wide range of general surgical conditions. Dr. Walker is committed to helping patients understand their care and collaborates with colleagues across specialties to provide the best outcomes. She’s certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support. Dr. Walker is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. She’s affiliated with BayCare Bartow Regional Medical Center.
