He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He continued his medical education by completing a general surgery residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive, foregut and bariatric surgery at Stony Brook University in Stoney Brook, New York. Dr. Seeras’ clinical interests include robotics, foregut, bariatric/metabolic surgery, as well as complex hernia. As an accomplished author, he has contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications to reputable journals. Dr. Seeras is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Hernia Society.
