Dr. Kenneth Obiaja is board certified in family medicine and is a member of BayCare Medical Group in New Port Richey, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from The Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana in Havana, Cuba, and completed a family medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Obiaja performs routine health screenings, reviews medical and social histories, and manages acute and chronic health problems. He works closely with his patients to develop a plan of care geared toward improving their quality of life and provides preventive care by encouraging better lifestyle habits which can help them avoid chronic disease. As a first point of contact in time-sensitive situations, Dr. Obiaja quickly assesses and coordinates appropriate medical treatment for outpatient or urgent care. He’s a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Obiaja speaks fluent Spanish.
