Dr. Karthic Chandran is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine and is with BayCare Medical Group in Winter Haven, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He completed his medical degree, with distinction, in research at the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, before training in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was recognized for his leadership and teaching. Dr. Chandran completed his fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of South Florida at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He has advanced training in complex coronary interventions and structural heart procedures. Dr. Chandran cares for patients with a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and valve disorders. His expertise includes minimally invasive procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral valve repair, atrial septal defects and left atrial appendage closures.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chandran is actively involved in research and has published in leading cardiology journals. His work focuses on improving outcomes for patients with complex heart disease and has contributed to national clinical trials advancing new treatment options.
