Dr. Eberhard had not been notified about my upcoming hernia surgery. When I mentioned it at my routine check-up visit, he expressed concern about my chronic low heart rate and ordered an EKG, anticipating that the surgeon might be concerned, too. Ultimately, the anesthesiologist was concerned, and asked for a more complete cardiac work-up. Although this all delayed my surgery, Im very pleased with Dr. Eberhards concerns for my well-being, and Im now re-scheduled for the surgery.

Very very happy with Dr Eberhard being my physician. He listens, talks through problems and solutions with me and we discuss recommendations. Baycare is lucky to have him. I came from a clinic where I had the same doctor for over 20 years and this is an even better experience.

Im not sure he believed the I dont drink alcohol. I guess that must be rare in this area but I hope over time to communicate effectively my issues and history.

He knows and accepts me

Dr. Eberhard is very good about allowing me to advocate for myself and be extremely participated in my care, but I do have concerns that in the two times Ive been there in the last six weeks not one time has he listened to my lungs listen to my heart looked in my eyes etc. There has been zero physical exam and I find that abnormal. Even if its just for optics. This should be done.

I thought my appointment was my routine annual exam in addition to my 6-month follow-up for my lipid issues. Dr. Eberhard did not examine me at all, no checking of the heart, no breathing check, nothing. He did go over my labs but never mentioned my medication. I assume because he didnt say anything about my medication that he didnt want to change anything, but I felt it was weird he didnt mention it. Also, I had lost over 12% body weight since my last visit, and he didnt mention that either. Overall, I feel Dr. Eberhard is nice and Im sure hes qualified, but his super laid-back vibe makes me feel like he doesnt really care that much.

My main medical issues right now are being treated by specialists. When I told him what was going on, he was willing to listen. I asked about a borderline lab result and he agreed to put me on med to bring level down. We also joke with each other sometimes, which makes the visit more pleasant.
