This was my initial visit with Dr. Schmidt and I am extremely pleased with the interaction; knowledgeable with wonderful bedside manner - felt like a patient versus a number just getting churned through a process; he listened and discussed all of my questions and together we formulated a plan forward

Doctor Bio
- Dr. John Schmidt is board certified in family medicine and serves the St. Petersburg, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Dr. Schmidt continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency at Florida State University College of Medicine/Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida. Dr. Schmidt enjoys building a rapport and engaging his patients to deliver high value patient-centered care. He believes that educating his patients improves self-management of chronic disease. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, health maintenance, cardiovascular and diabetic health and sports medicine.
