    Took time to review medical history and had notes from previous cardiologist. Major discussion on my problem with blood thinner and options we may have going forward. Happy to say the 2.5 mg of Eliquis is working. Gave me sample to try and going to take for month to see. Good patient education on Afib and reference to other medical quidelines I am checking out. Good feeling ablout my care and Dr. Norris

    • Dr. John Norris is board certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology and serves the Clearwater, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where he sees patients age 18 and older. His clinical interests include the utilization of catheter ablation, device therapy, medications, and emerging technologies for the management of atrial fibrillation. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed an internal medicine residency at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Dr. Norris then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease from Milton Hershey Medical Center/Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania, followed by a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship from Krannert Institute at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Norris views electrophysiology as a challenging and complex field, but it gives him great satisfaction to help patients navigate life-and-death problems. His medical practice philosophy is to provide superior medical care while treating every patient “like family.” He feels fortunate to have the skill and experience to offer every modern electrophysiology technique, including advanced techniques for heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He is a pioneer in Pinellas County cardiac electrophysiology having been the first to perform catheter ablation and convergent ablation for atrial fibrillation. He is a member of the American Heart Association and a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. He is affiliated with Morton Plant Hosptial.
