    • Dr. John Gachiani is board certified in adult neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery. He brings more than 17 years of experience and has expertise in minimally invasive surgery, which allows for smaller incisions, less pain and quicker return to activity. He serves the Tampa Bay area from his practice on N. MacDill Avenue. Dr. Gachiani offers the full spectrum of neurosurgery spine and brain treatments including: cervical discectomy and fusion, cervical laminectomy with and without fusion, cervical foraminotomy, cervical disc replacement, lumbar discectomy, lumbar laminectomy, lumbar fusion, thoracic discectomy and fusion, kyphoplasty, spine tumors, carpal tunnel, chiari malformations, syringomyelia, brain tumors, hydrocephalus, tethered spinal cord, baclofen pumps, craniosynostosis, spine and brain trauma. Dr. Gachiani is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons and the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Gachiani completed his undergraduate studies in biology from Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. He continued his medical education by completing a neurosurgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
