Doctor Bio
Dr. Jeffrey Bott is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery and sees patients age 18 and older as part of BayCare Medical Group, serving the Clearwater, Florida community. He completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. He continued his medical education by completing a general surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Bott then completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Bott has been featured in numerous peer-reviewed publications, including The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, The Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and The Journal of Heart Valve Diseases. His clinical interests include aortic surgery, heart bypass surgery, endovascular repair, heart valve repair or replacement and surgery for atrial fibrillation. Dr. Bott is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as a current member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, and past president of the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons. He is affiliated with Morton Plant Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital.
