Doctor Bio
Dr. Jasmine Jacob is board certified in internal medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and sociology from Union College in Schenectady, New York. She then earned a Masters of Public Health at Boston University School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Jacob then earned her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Jacob then furthered her medical education by completing a residency in internal medicine and a general cardiology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York.
Dr. Jacob is an energetic, skilled and caring physician, who has a passion for cardiology. She has an extensive background in cardiology related research projects. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular inflammation and coronary artery disease. Dr. Jacob is a strong advocate for women’s health and was very involved in community education during her medical training in New York.
Dr. Jacob is also passionate about preventive cardiology and lifestyle modification. She enjoys noninvasive cardiovascular imaging, particularly nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and coronary computed tomography (CT). She is a member of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
