James E. Koon, DPM

Dr. James Koon is board certified in foot surgery and is part of BayCare Medical Group Gessler Clinic in Winter Haven where he sees patients of all ages. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a podiatric surgical chief residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Koon is engaged in the diagnosis, management and if necessary, surgery of the human foot and ankle. He provides a caring and gentle approach to his patient’s needs. He places great emphasis upon listening to the concerns of each patient, enabling him to tailor the treatment which best suits the needs of the individual. Whether it be your foot or ankle, he’ll work together with you to find the answers that will bring relief.

Dr. Koon’s holistic approach will consider maintenance and prevention as important as treatment and cure. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a diplomate of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Koon is affiliated with Winter Haven Hospital.
