Dr. Ileana Acevedo is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. She serves the Tampa, Florida area where she sees patients age 18 and older, She completed her undergraduate degree in general sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She continued her medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, in addition to, a fellowship in infectious diseases.
Dr. Acevedo’s training and clinical experience has prepared her to provide the best possible care to her patients. She is a dedicated internal medicine physician, a very hard worker and believes in treating each and every patient like a family member. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the Tampa Bay Latin American Medical Society. A dedicated primary care physician, Dr. Acevedo brings extensive experience to her role at BayCare Medical Group.
