He continued his medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, New York. He then completed a nephrology fellowship at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Sotolongo specializes in the kidney, treating such ailments as hypertension (high blood pressure), kidney stones and kidney failure.
