- Dr. Huy D. Nguyen is board certified in family medicine and serves the Lutz, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where he sees patients age 18 and older. His clinical interests include hypertension, weight loss, ADHD, diabetes, cholesterol, sports-related injuries and joint injections. He completed an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Nguyen continued his medical education by completing a family medicine residency at the University of Incarnated Word/Graduate Medical Education and Research in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Nguyen’s philosophy in medicine is to treat his patients how he would want to be treated and all patients are like family. He is known for his kindness, sense of humor, great bedside manner, and genuinely caring for his patients' wellness. He combines hands-on intervention and relationship-based care to meet his patients’ health care needs. He speaks fluent Vietnamese.
