Heather Dawson is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse and is with BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, where she provides cardiovascular care for patients age 18 and older. She completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing from St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida, and earned a Master of Science in nursing, specializing as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. Heather earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She develops, implements and evaluates individualized care plans, performs examinations, conducts clinical assessments and makes diagnoses to support comprehensive patient management. Heather is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support and the National Institute of Health’s stroke scale. She’s a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the West Coast Chapter of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
