Dr. Garrett Singleton is a board-certified family medicine physician and is with BayCare Medical Group in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Alabama, and completed a family medicine residency at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Singleton focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management and musculoskeletal medicine. He’s deeply connected to the local community and is passionate about promoting access to care and addressing health disparities. In addition to comprehensive primary care, Dr. Singleton has a special interest in sports medicine. He treats a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, with particular focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation and exercise optimization. Dr. Singleton helps patients of all activity levels—from athletes to beginners—safely incorporate movement into their lives as a key component of long-term wellness. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol, placing a strong emphasis on lifestyle-focused care. Dr. Singleton’s approach to health care considers not just the physical, but also the mental, emotional and social aspects that affect a patient’s overall well-being. Known for fostering long-term relationships with patients and their families, he empowers individuals through education and collaborative decision-making to help them achieve their personal health goals.
Dr. Singleton is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced life support in obstetrics. He’s an active member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Singleton has most recently served as a sideline physician for high school football in St. Petersburg and regularly volunteers his medical expertise at local sports and community events.
