    • Dr. Flor Maria Sanchez is board certified in internal medicine and is a hospitalist with Mease Hospitals. She provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. She will be responsible for your care while you’re in our hospital and will partner with your primary care physician on any necessary follow-up care to assist with your continued care, once you return to your home. Dr. Sanchez earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogota, Columbia. She then completed an internal medicine residency at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia in Bogota, Columbia and also at the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Sanchez continued her education by completing an infectious disease fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. An accomplished author and presenter, Dr. Sanchez has contributed her expertise to numerous peer publications and associations. Dr. Sanchez is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
