Eric P. Peterson, DO

Dr. Eric Peterson specializes in cardiovascular disease and is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He’s with BayCare Medical Group in Safety Harbor, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. Dr. Peterson earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. He completed an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as chief fellow. Dr. Peterson practices noninvasive cardiology and has clinical interests in echocardiography, cardiac hemodynamics and preventive cardiology. His main areas of focus are the management of heart failure, hypertension, heart rhythm disorders, valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease. Dr. Peterson has an extensive background in cardiovascular research and has contributed to numerous publications in the field. He’s a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Medical Association and the American Heart Association. Dr. Peterson is affiliated with Mease Countryside Hospital.
