Dr. Elizabeth Hopkins specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery and is with BayCare Medical Group in Tampa, Florida, where she sees patients newborn and older. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California at Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California, and completed a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship in the Hagey Laboratory for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Hopkins completed a plastic surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, and performed a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine/University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Hopkin's areas of focus include pediatric plastic surgery including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial reconstruction and general reconstructive procedures, such as breast reconstruction. Due to her own experiences as a surgical patient, Dr. Hopkins can empathize with her patients as she works with them throughout their entire surgical journey. An accomplished author, she has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed publications including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Hopkins is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital.
