Duane M. Belongie, MD

Dr. Duane Belongie is board certified in orthopedic surgery and serves the Clearwater, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where he sees patients age 18 and older. After working as a biomedical engineer for 8 years, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He continued his medical education by completing an orthopedic surgery residency from the Campbell Clinic/University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Belongie then completed a shoulder mini fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Belongie provides top-quality orthopedic services with a personalized touch. He makes time with each patient to ensure that all their concerns are addressed, with the utmost care. Some of his clinical interests include rotator cuff repair, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, and shoulder, hip and knee joint replacements. He also takes care of many types of fractures and common hand conditions. Dr. Belongie combines a patient-centered approach with cutting-edge technology to address his patients’ care and enable them to achieve better musculoskeletal function and to live pain-free. He is affiliated with Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital. He is also fluent in Spanish.
