Deana Lantz is a certified nurse practitioner and serves the Oldsmar, Florida area for BayCare Medical Group, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She then earned her graduate degree in nursing with a specialization in family nurse practitioner at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Deana, under the supervision of physicians, takes medical histories, performs physical exams, orders lab tests and x-rays, and can give inoculations. She is a certified medical examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, in addition to, being certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. Deana has an extensive background as an emergency department nurse and is a member of the American Nurses Association, Emergency Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
